Message I'm not sure that I ever said that I or anyone MADE the brackets. Larry ground a couple of slots in the radiator bracket, and bolted the old brackets on per my instructions that I gave him, from the advice I got from Z1. When I got the car back, I used a new bracket to see if I could get the hood strut to close better. Here's the new bracket I bought sitting on my computer.

I guess I worked on the car for a couple of hours after I got it back, cleaned up the spots Larry ground with my Dremel, tried the brackets a couple of different ways, removed and replaced the hood strut a couple of times, nothing special.

And I don't think they're "ghetto." That's just what someone else called them when I posted about it before. I think they work out great.

It's not meant to be a fab job, the only "trick" is that if you switch the R & L brackets from stock radiator, you can reuse them, that's all.
